The Committee on Education moved to amend the bill by striking out everything after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

ARTICLE 4. SALARIES, WAGES AND OTHER BENEFITS.

§18A-4-23. Eligibility and consideration of service personnel with NAPT Certification for transportation supervision positions.

(a) A service employee who is certified as a Director or Supervisor of Pupil Transportation by the National Association for Pupil Transportation is eligible for any professional employee position involving supervision of a county transportation department.

(b) If a county board posts a professional employee position involving supervision of a county transportation department, the county board may consider any applicant for the position who is a service employee and who is certified as a Director or Supervisor of Pupil Transportation by the National Association for Pupil Transportation.
